Manila Zoo

My first visit in Manila Zoo was 8 years ago with my high school friends. We were exploring Manila then and we were "bagong salta". I still can vividly remember what we did and I enjoyed that memorable first time.

Now, news has been spreading about the zoo. PETA and some people wanted Mayor Lim to close it. Jonathan's curiosity began to sprout. He wanted to know what's the real deal so I accompanied him a few weekends ago. I was surprised at the big change. 8 years ago, this place was so active with lots of people strolling and animals were alive and kicking. Now, I can only see very few animals and the place is untidy. The condition of the animals is poor. I really hope this place will be restored because it is one of the education places in Manila. I still believe Mayor Lim will do something to save our beloved Manila Zoo.

Penang Hill

A few weeks ago, my college friends and I had a reunion. We updated ourselves with each other's stories. It was fun. Then we decided to have dinner at Penang Hill in Shangri-la Mall. I love the service and food in this restaurant. They serve delicious Asian food. We were really satisfied and we'd love to come back.

plain and pink



I'm into plain and bright tops now. I just love how playful and refreshing they are. I also bought a new pair of black flats. My old pair of brown flats is almost dead because I've been wearing it everyday.haha.

1) I don't play any musical instruments but I'd really love to play drums and piano.
2) Currently my favorite fruit is apple. I can't let a day pass without eating one.parang si Eba?haha
3) I'm a sensitive/emotional bitch.I cry a lot. I cry when I'm happy,when I'm sad,when I'm watching videos and movies and when I'm listening to music but I do laugh a lot too!
4) I was into acting when I was in grade school and high school. I also loved writing scripts for our role plays. I really thought I'd be a director, script writer or actress when I grow up. haha.
5) I have never smoked a cigarette.My lungs are weak.
6) I am not athletic.
7) I have a new business.An online thrift shop.She's 4 days old!Come and visit our store.

Hainanese Chicken Rice

I have read from news and blogs that if you visit Singapore, you must try  their Hainanese Chicken Rice. A very popular and delicious dish. I haven't been there but I know lots of restaurants in Philippines also serve this food. Then my friend, Bons, gave me her recipe of this yummy Hainanese Chicken Rice. With all passion and love, I cooked one using her recipe.

Here's how:

In a casserole, add lemongrass, lots of ginger, 1 whole onion diced, chicken cubes and thigh parts of chicken.
Add 4 cups of water. Boil for 1 hour.
Once cooked, set aside chicken, add 3 cups of rice.
Cook the rice using the chicken stock where you cooked the chicken.
Once rice is almost cooked, add the cooked chicken on top.
Simmer for another 5 minutes.

for the sauce:
Add chopped 1 clove of garlic, chopped 1 bulb of onion, chopped 10 pesos worth of ginger.
Saute until semi brown.

Then it's chow time! My boyfriend ate almost 4 cups of chicken rice. no kidding! *wink*
