I heart Christmas

Finally it's Christmas and I'm beyond excited. I can't wait to be HOME. Dalawang taon din akong hindi nakauwi because of work. Mama promised to cook my favorite pinakbet , dinengdeng and ginataang pantat. I've been craving for these for 2 years! 2 years pre. hahaha. Also, I can finally breathe some fresh air and have a good long vacation.  My heart is already jumping for joy!!!

On the other note, I recently had pre-christmas dinner with my closest friends. It was fun as always :)

Snow Patrol

I'm an alternative baby. I always go for alternatives whenever I download songs online. For me, it's the most soothing type of music ever. Currently, I'm Snow Patrol-ing. My playlist for this band has been in the loop for a couple of days now. I started falling in love with them when I heard their songs "Chasing Cars" and  "Run". Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch their concert in Manila last August 9. :(

These are a few of my favorite songs of SP:
Chocolate
Crack The Shutters
Just Say Yes
You're all I have
Signal Fire
Spitting Games
Run
Set the Fire on the Third Bar
Ask me How I am

sugary pink

I don't wear much makeup. I just put on moisturizer, blush-on and lipstick, then I'm good to go. It's been a year since I got addicted to lipsticks from Sophie Paris. My all time favorite is the Koshize Sugary Pink. I was hesitant at first because of my skin color. I'm not gifted with a porcelain and flawless skin. I thought pink doesn't look good on me. But when I tried it, I received praises from my office mates. Sabi nila bagay daw saken and I believed them.lol. Since then, almost everyday ko na xa wear. It's easy to apply and trust me, it's so affordable. ^=^

dress: Koimoda ; shoes: Shoe Etiquette ; earrings: Forever 21

I have been wanting to post photos of the shoes I won from Denise Katipunera's giveaway. I was just looking for a cute dress to pair it with. I think I found one. hehe! I was beyond ecstatic when I found out that I was the lucky winner. As you can see, this pair of shoes is so gorgeous and fashionable. And the heels? Killer baby! And by the way, her name is HEX. Browse for more shoes at Shoe Etiquette store.
On the other hand, my boyfriend and I are hooked on playing online poker lately. It is enjoyable since it enables us to think sharply. We found an online poker site which allow players to place their bets.  We're thinking of joining. Hmmm.I guess a few bucks will suffice our excitement. Let's see!

koimoda

You know I have an intimate relationship with thrifting. It's part of my life already. Just throw me a few bucks and I'm good to go. I can spend half of my life visiting different thrift shops. Oh the pleasure of finding treasure out of people's junk. But hey, my finds are as good as new.Swear.chos.

And so I'm happy to announce that I have finally put up my own online thrift store. I named her KOIMODA.
Koimoda is derived from words "koi" and "moda". Koi is a japanese word for love and moda is a spanish word for fashion. Since I have great love for fashion, I combined the two words and came up with koimoda. hahaha. anggulo ko.God knows how difficult it was for us to think of a store's name. Three weeks. Three weeks kaming nghanap/ngisip ng name. And finally we're sticking to "koimoda".

So there you have it. My online store that sells thrifted items especially handpicked by me. I will be uploading new finds from time to time. I hope you guys will support me on this project. You can share the good news to your friends too. *winks*

Stackers

After Jeyson's driving practice, we went to Alabang Town Center for some coffee. The weather was so cold and the stomach was craving for some fries and burgers too. We decided to eat at Stackers Burger Cafe. I love the interior. So cozy and clean. The food is good and tasty and not pricey. I wanna try their salad and hot chocolate next time. I enjoyed my experience in Stackers. Must come back. ;)

I have great love for anything leather. It's the best fabric ever. It never ages. Parang Emperador lang yan, habang tumatagal lalong sumasarap. lol. It's costly but it's worth every cent. I want all of these. drooling.

got these photos from pinterest.

By the way, I am also officially pinning too. Follow me at pinterest. Lots of beautiful pictures in there.

Wilson Phillips

Wilson Phillips is an American girl band composed of Wilson sisters and Philips. They're from the 90's. I often listen to their songs on the radio and I'm fascinated with their unique style of vocal harmonies. The voice blending is perfect. Sarap sa tenga.

They made a cameo appearance in the movie Bridesmaids. The scene was one of my favorites. That wacky moment when Annie and Lilian enjoyed singing Hold-on while Wilson Philips was performing. Sweet! Okay. I'll try to make a separate post of that hilarious movie next time. ;)

Here are a few of their old music videos. Nakakatuwa ang fashion nila noon. hehe

Japanese food lover

Normally , when people think of Japanese food, the first thing that comes to mind is Sushi or Sashimi. And I'm guilty. But last month, I discovered other kind of Japanese food in Nanbantei of Tokyo and Tajimaya Charcoal Grill. These are actually not your typical Japanese cuisine. Well, at least for me.

Nanbantei of Tokyo
An authentic Japanese restaurant located in Greenbelt 3.
They have wide selection of platters. I ordered their bite-size pieces of vegetable and meat.
Photobucket
Kani Salad
It is a large serving of salad that contains fresh lettuce, cucumber, carrot and crab meat.
So yummy and healthy. I can actually consume the whole serving all by myself (takaw mode)!
Photobucket
Shiitake Mushroom
Photobucket
Asparagus wrapped in pork and chicken
The yummiest of them all. I love asparagus and  love it more with meat.

Tajimaya
An eat-all-you -can smokeless yakiniku restaurant in Mall Of Asia.
They serve freshly marinated pork and beef and then you'll do the grilling.
Photobucket
Thinly-sliced pork and beef ready for grilling.  When it's already cooked, you can wrap the meat in the lettuce. By the way, they also serve unlimited lettuce. Winner!I must say Tajimaya's meat quality is really good.
Photobucket
Saki (rice wine)

No wonder why Japan has the longest life expectancy in the world. They prepare and eat the healthiest food on Earth.
I'm now a Japanese food lover!
