koimoda

You know I have an intimate relationship with thrifting. It's part of my life already. Just throw me a few bucks and I'm good to go. I can spend half of my life visiting different thrift shops. Oh the pleasure of finding treasure out of people's junk. But hey, my finds are as good as new.Swear.chos.

And so I'm happy to announce that I have finally put up my own online thrift store. I named her KOIMODA.
Koimoda is derived from words "koi" and "moda". Koi is a japanese word for love and moda is a spanish word for fashion. Since I have great love for fashion, I combined the two words and came up with koimoda. hahaha. anggulo ko.God knows how difficult it was for us to think of a store's name. Three weeks. Three weeks kaming nghanap/ngisip ng name. And finally we're sticking to "koimoda".

So there you have it. My online store that sells thrifted items especially handpicked by me. I will be uploading new finds from time to time. I hope you guys will support me on this project. You can share the good news to your friends too. *winks*

Stackers

After Jeyson's driving practice, we went to Alabang Town Center for some coffee. The weather was so cold and the stomach was craving for some fries and burgers too. We decided to eat at Stackers Burger Cafe. I love the interior. So cozy and clean. The food is good and tasty and not pricey. I wanna try their salad and hot chocolate next time. I enjoyed my experience in Stackers. Must come back. ;)

Wilson Phillips

Wilson Phillips is an American girl band composed of Wilson sisters and Philips. They're from the 90's. I often listen to their songs on the radio and I'm fascinated with their unique style of vocal harmonies. The voice blending is perfect. Sarap sa tenga.

They made a cameo appearance in the movie Bridesmaids. The scene was one of my favorites. That wacky moment when Annie and Lilian enjoyed singing Hold-on while Wilson Philips was performing. Sweet! Okay. I'll try to make a separate post of that hilarious movie next time. ;)

Here are a few of their old music videos. Nakakatuwa ang fashion nila noon. hehe

Japanese food lover

Normally , when people think of Japanese food, the first thing that comes to mind is Sushi or Sashimi. And I'm guilty. But last month, I discovered other kind of Japanese food in Nanbantei of Tokyo and Tajimaya Charcoal Grill. These are actually not your typical Japanese cuisine. Well, at least for me.

Nanbantei of Tokyo
An authentic Japanese restaurant located in Greenbelt 3.
They have wide selection of platters. I ordered their bite-size pieces of vegetable and meat.

Kani Salad
It is a large serving of salad that contains fresh lettuce, cucumber, carrot and crab meat.
So yummy and healthy. I can actually consume the whole serving all by myself (takaw mode)!

Shiitake Mushroom

Asparagus wrapped in pork and chicken
The yummiest of them all. I love asparagus and  love it more with meat.

Tajimaya
An eat-all-you -can smokeless yakiniku restaurant in Mall Of Asia.
They serve freshly marinated pork and beef and then you'll do the grilling.
Photobucket
Thinly-sliced pork and beef ready for grilling.  When it's already cooked, you can wrap the meat in the lettuce. By the way, they also serve unlimited lettuce. Winner!I must say Tajimaya's meat quality is really good.

Saki (rice wine)

No wonder why Japan has the longest life expectancy in the world. They prepare and eat the healthiest food on Earth.
I'm now a Japanese food lover!
